These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Avello Home Care LLC website and services. By accessing or using our website or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

Description of Services

Avello Home Care LLC provides personal care assistant (PCA) services to individuals in Maine who need assistance with daily living activities. Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Personal hygiene and grooming assistance
  • Mobility and transfer support
  • Meal preparation and nutrition support
  • Medication management reminders
  • Light housekeeping
  • Companionship and engagement activities

Eligibility and Service Agreement

To use our services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age or have a legal guardian
  • Provide accurate and complete information during the intake process
  • Sign a separate Service Agreement outlining specific care arrangements
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Specific terms of care, including scheduling, payment, and services provided, will be detailed in a separate Service Agreement signed by both parties prior to beginning care.

Payment and Fees

Fees for our services vary based on the level of care required and will be specified in your Service Agreement. Payment terms include:

  • Payment is due according to the schedule specified in your Service Agreement
  • We accept various payment methods including credit cards, checks, and insurance (where applicable)
  • Late payments may incur additional fees as outlined in your agreement
  • Price changes will be communicated in advance with reasonable notice

Cancellation and Termination

By Client

You may cancel or terminate services at any time by providing written notice as specified in your Service Agreement. Cancellation policies for individual appointments will be outlined in your agreement.

By Avello Home Care

We reserve the right to terminate services if payment obligations are not met, if safety concerns arise, or if the client's needs exceed our service capabilities. We will provide reasonable notice whenever possible.

Client Responsibilities

As a client or authorized representative, you agree to:

  • Provide a safe working environment for caregivers
  • Communicate openly about care needs and preferences
  • Report any concerns or issues promptly
  • Provide accurate medical and health information
  • Treat caregivers with respect and dignity
  • Comply with payment terms
  • Notify us of any changes in care needs or circumstances

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Avello Home Care LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to our services.

Our caregivers provide non-medical personal care assistance. We are not responsible for medical diagnoses, treatment decisions, or medical emergencies. In case of medical emergency, always call 911.

Confidentiality and Privacy

We maintain strict confidentiality of all client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and our Privacy Policy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Website Use

When using our website, you agree to:
